The Shire of Denmark has now entered the Restricted Burning Period as of today, Sunday 1 November 2026.
During the Restricted Burning Period, which extends until 15 December 2026, residents and visitors to the Shire of Denmark cannot light an outdoor fire without a Permit to Burn.
Permits to Burn are issued by local Fire Control Officers and are subject to strict conditions.
To apply for a Permit to Burn, residents must make their request at least 3 days prior to the planned date of the burn.
Camp and cooking fires are permitted during this time under specific conditions detailed in this year’s Firebreak and Property Management Notice.
Now is the time to prepare your property for compliance with the annual Firebreak and Property Management Notice, with compliance inspections beginning on 1 December.
