Transport Services in Denmark

Our dedicated team is committed to efficiently processing a wide array of services to meet the diverse needs of our local community. As the Shire is an agent only, we are unable to discuss any detailed licensing enquiries or transactions over the phone and recommend contacting the Department of Transport directly on 13 11 56 for additional information. We can assist with the following transport services:

  • Vehicle licence renewals
  • Vehicle transfer of ownership
  • Change of vehicle plates
  • Concession for Vehicle and Drivers licence
  • Number plate changes, remakes and custom plates
  • Driver licence renewal
  • Drivers licence interstate and international transfers
  • Computer theory and hazard perception tests
  • Practical driving assessments
  • Boat registration, transfers and renewals

While we strive to accommodate most transactions promptly, advance bookings are essential for new applications such as, but not limited to, registration of tractors, Learners Permits/Keys 4 life and transfer of Drivers licenses/Interstate/Overseas.

A booking is required for Computer Theory & Hazard Perception Testing. If you would like to request appointment, please complete the online form below.

ID Requirements

Information about which documents you need to provide when applying for a driver's licence, learner's permit or WA photo card.

The Western Australian Department of Transport has difference proof of identity requirements compared to other States and agencies. Please make sure you read the below information to understand what documents you will need to bring with you to your appointment.

When you apply for a driver’s licence, learner’s permit (including Keys for Life)  or WA photo card for the first time, you will need to visit one of our Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) centres, regional offices or Agents and provide:

  • A combination of five documents that show your full name, date of birth, and current address.
  • Original documents – we cannot accept laminated or photocopied documents, or photos of the document.
  • At least one document that shows your signature.

The name on all of your documents must be the same, or you must provide evidence of your change of name that clearly shows the link between your birth name and current name (i.e. a marriage certificate or name change certificate).

If you are unable to provide an original birth certificate, you will be required to apply for a replacement. You will need to contact the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. If you were born in Western Australia, you can apply through the Albany Court House.
