Twelve community groups have been named as recipients in Round 2 of the 2025/26 Shire of Denmark Community Grants, following a competitive assessment process.
This marks the first time a second round of Community Grants funding has been available, with a second round pool of $28,500 offered to help local not-for-profit organisations deliver projects that enhance community participation, safety, culture and wellbeing across our Shire.
Successful projects this round include:
• Public rescue equipment to improve beach safety (Denmark Surf Life Saving Club)
• Children’s playground development at the tennis club precinct (Denmark Tennis Club)
• Expansion and participation equipment to support junior soccer growth (Denmark Junior Soccer)
• Support for wildlife care and rehabilitation activities (Healing Hands Inc)
• Kitchen upgrades to improve functionality of a key community venue (Ocean View Function Centre)
• Lighting and amenity upgrades to support community events and activities (Denmark Chamber of Commerce)
• Outside broadcast equipment upgrades to enhance local radio coverage (Denmark FM)
• Gallery foyer lighting improvements to enhance visitor experience (Mill Art Group)
• Support for 2026 season performances in Denmark (Albany Chamber Orchestra)
• Trail maintenance equipment to assist volunteer trail management (Denmark Mountain Bike Club)
• Support for home game costs and community participation (Denmark Magpies Netball Club)
• Scholarships for early music workshops to support skill development and access (Sarabande)
“It is great to see another round of our grants rolled out to benefit a well-rounded range of community groups that all have great initiatives,” Shire of Denmark President, Aaron Wiggins said.
“I would encourage all community groups to take note of this opportunity and keep an eye out for the advertising of future rounds.”
