The Shire of Denmark has now entered the Restricted Burning Period as of today, Monday 30 March 2026.

During the Restricted Burning Period, which extends until 30 April, residents and visitors to the Shire of Denmark cannot light an outdoor fire without a Permit to Burn. Camp and cooking fires are permitted during this time under specific conditions detailed in this year’s Firebreak and Property Management Notice.

The property compliance period will continue until 30 April, with inspections continuing up to this date. Residents and homeowners are required to maintain their property for bushfire compliance to avoid receiving an infringement.

Permits to Burn are issued by local Fire Control Officers and are subject to strict conditions.

To apply for a Permit to Burn, residents must make their request at least 3 days prior to the planned date of the burn.
