The Shire of Denmark is looking to sponsor local Australia Day 2026 events and is seeking Expressions of Interest from businesses, community groups and organisations who would like to receive support to host an event on 26 January 2026.
To be eligible to be considered for funding support, applicants must propose an event that is:
- Free to attend
- Family-friendly
- Inclusive
- Widely advertised to the community
Within eligible events, the Shire would be willing to fund items such as, but not limited to:
- Live entertainment
- Children’s activities and entertainment
- Games
- Sausage Sizzle items
The Shire encourages community groups and businesses from across the Shire to apply.
When submitting your Expressions of Interest, please include information about the proposed program and budget for the event.
Expressions of Interest must be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and emailed to info@denmark.wa.gov.au by no later than Friday 3 October 2026. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of November 2026.
