The Shire of Denmark advises that Stage 2 of the Mount Shadforth Road Reconstruction Project is scheduled to commence shortly. This work forms part of the broader road reconstruction project along Mount Shadforth Road, and involves significant upgrades to improve road safety, resilience and overall driving conditions along this important local route.
Stage 2 will focus on the next section of Mount Shadforth Road between Hardy Street and Willow Creek Drive, identified for reconstruction and will include:
- road surface upgrades
- major culvert replacement
- construction to support long-term durability
During this period, you will notice increased contractor activity, temporary traffic management and reduced travel speeds through the work zone.
Road closures are anticipated between the following dates:
- Monday 16/2/26 – Friday 20/2/26
- Monday 23/2/26 – Friday 27/2/26
These road closure dates are subject to change pending construction progress and other external factors.
We will work to minimise disruptions where possible, but some delays may occur. Any temporary detours or access changes will be clearly signposted and traffic managed accordingly.
Stage 2 works will begin in early February with completion planned for April 2026.
We thank you for your understanding and continued support as we move this important local infrastructure project forward.
If you have any questions about the works or require further details, please contact the Shire’s Technical Services team on 9848 0300 or at info@denmark.wa.gov.au.
