Community engagement is underway as global leader in skate park and youth space solutions Convic puts together a community-informed concept plan to reshape the future of Berridge Park.

Two all-age design workshops are scheduled to align with the Shire of Denmark YouthFest on Wednesday 19 April including a Drop-In Session from 1-4pm at McLean Sports Precinct and a Design Workshop from 6-7pm at Denmark Recreation Centre.

There is also an in-depth survey available, which includes opportunities to write your own ideas, as well as rank suggestions by level of importance.

Shire of Denmark Chief Executive Officer David Schober said it’s exciting to be starting this long-awaited revitalisation project.

“In particular, we’re keen to get such a major youth and young family-focused project underway because we know our community is keen to see progress in that space,” Mr Schober said.

“The consultant we have engaged to develop the concept plan for the Berridge Park and McLean precinct is a global expert, so we hope to see plenty of community engagement from all ages, backgrounds and interests, so Convic can create a design that our entire community can cherish into the future.”

Mr Schober said the survey is a great chance for the youth of Denmark to outline their ideas, needs and priorities for the Berridge Park and McLean precincts.
