Water restrictions from 1st October

Denmark has recorded three of its driest years on record since 2014, and this lack of rain has meant there’s much less streamflow into Denmark’s dams.

In order to help save water, Water Corporation has advised Stage 5 water restrictions will begin on 1 October, which means you can only use garden sprinklers one day a week.

Water Corporation will be working with the community to help save water via initiatives including rainwater tank rebates and free water-saving shower heads, and is in the early stages of planning a pipeline to connect the town to the larger water supply network in the lower Great Southern.
