The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) has launched a new initiative to support urban greening across Western Australia.

The Treebate program offers a $150 rebate to residents aged 18 and over who plant a native tree on their private property.

The program aims to increase the number and quality of green spaces in urban areas, helping to create cooler, more liveable communities.

Each year, up to 10,000 Western Australians will be eligible to receive the rebate, with the initiative running for the next four years.

Rebates can be claimed through the ServiceWA app, or via postal and webform options for those who prefer or require alternative methods.

To ensure accessibility, DWER is also providing manual claim forms for individuals who cannot use the ServiceWA app.

For more information, to request manual claim forms, or to download your own form, please visit the DWER Treebate Program Webpage.
