The Shire of Denmark has employed three new lifeguards to ensure beach-goers are kept safe over the summer.
Denmark residents Doughal MacMaster (pictured), Laura McEwan (pictured) and Olivia Mason will patrol Ocean Beach from December 13 until February 1, 9am-5pm weekdays and 9am-1pm Saturdays.
The positions are supported by the Denmark Surf Lifesaving Club who provided the proficiency testing during the recruitment process and will provide access to lifesaving equipment throughout their tenure.
The lifeguards have a well-developed knowledge of Ocean Beach and surf environments and have demonstrated a desire to contribute to the Denmark community.
The Shire and DSLC welcome Doughal, Olivia and Laura and wish them well over the summer period.
