Business owners and community members are invited to participate in the creation of a new policy relating to the use of temporary signage on public land in the Shire of Denmark, including signs on road reserves, verges and footpaths.
The aim of the new policy review is to gain a clear understanding of what the community thinks about the use of temporary roadside signage and what type of approach to regulating signage would best suit businesses, community members and visitors.
A survey is now available online, with business owners and community members encouraged to share their thoughts about roadside signage, its benefits and pitfalls.
The Shire of Denmark is also in consultation with the Denmark Chamber of Commerce and will facilitate a workshop between policy writers and the Chamber to ensure the new policy is designed to be fit for purpose, recognising the needs of the business community.
The survey, open until 18 November, takes 5 minutes to complete and can be accessed online at www.yourdenmark.wa.gov.au/signs
