Following a Special Council Meeting held yesterday, the Denmark Shire Council has accepted a change to the out-going Chief Executive Officer’s notice period.
Mr Schober gave notice of his resignation in April, and with the completion of his notice period, was set to conclude his contract with the Shire on Tuesday 11 July.
A Special Meeting was called to consider Mr Schober’s request to vary the normal three-month notice period, given he had been asked to start earlier in his new role.
Council yesterday voted to accept the change, so Mr Schober’s last day at the Shire of Denmark will now be Friday 19 May.
Shire of Denmark Deputy CEO and Director Assets and Sustainable Development David King has been formally appointed as a temporary CEO for the duration of the formal recruitment process.
