Western Power (WP) has advised they have a large program of work planned in the Shire of Denmark, commencing from December 2019 to March 2020; to maintain their infrastructure and ensure power reliability.
During this time over 200 poles and 37km of overhead powerlines will be replaced. The work will be undertaken by Western Power crews and there are several power outages scheduled.
From December 2019 to January 2020 works will be concentrated in Shadforth, Bow Bridge and Ocean Beach. Works will continue in Shadforth, Parryville and Kordabup throughout February and March 2020.
In order to complete the work safely, the work needs to be carried out on de-energised lines. This means that power outages will be required and given the volume of work, unfortunately some customers will be impacted by multiple outages. All affected customers will be notified (letters and emails) of upcoming outages and WP will also post information on their social media accounts.
