$1000 TO REALISE YOUR DREAMS

The Shire of Denmark is offering a fantastic opportunity to all Y12 students currently attending Denmark Senior High School. Submissions for the Shire of Denmark $1,000 Leadership Award are now being accepted.

The Shire of Denmark Leadership Award recognises young people for their community involvement, citizenship and leadership skills and it offers sponsorship of $1,000 to assist with the cost of a program or activity of their choice, which focuses on leadership, problem solving, self-growth, skills development, confidence building, personal motivation and team work.

Shire of Denmark CEO Mr David Schober said this award recognises youth contributions to our community.

“This award recognises young leaders and supports them to continue to build their skills to inspire others”, he said.

Last year’s award winner William Roocke said being part of a small rural community highlighted the importance of working together and developed his desire to give back to the community. His program of choice was to attend the Global 2019 Eco Conference in Queensland, which he said aligned with his interest in the environmental sector.

The Award Guidelines & Application Form are available from our website https://www.denmark.wa.gov.au/community/awards-and-scholarships/student-awards-scholarships.aspx
