We are pleased to be able to offer all our library members access to our toy library. The goal of the toy library is to provide toys, games and puzzles of an educational nature that encourage a pleasurable learning experiences and promote children's development in language, numeracy, social interaction, motor skills, imagination and creativity. etter Beginnings is a state wide family literacy program promoting reading and the love of books from an early age. It has been developed by the State Library of Western Australia, and aims to support parents as their children's first teacher. It's never too early to start reading to your baby or child. Sharing a love of reading, rhyming, singing and talking with your child is one of the best things you can do to give them a head start in life.
