Along with the intrastate travel restrictions in place, the Shire of Denmark is urging everyone to stay home at their permanent place of residence this Easter holiday and cancel any plans to travel within the region.
With Easter falling during a global pandemic this year, residents from across the region are encouraged to do their part for the safety of the Denmark community by staying home.
Parry’s campground, as well as all DPAW campgrounds are closed, as are many shops and non-essential services.
Most caravan parks and campgrounds are only open to essential workers, those with no fixed address and people with genuinely nowhere to go. In addition Shire Rangers will be conducting regular patrols of Denmark beaches across the Easter holiday period to assist police with social distancing restrictions and community safety.
We know a lot of people from towns across the Great Southern may have been planning to come to Denmark to visit over Easter with their families or in holiday houses, but once again we urge people to stay in their home towns this year, and we look forward to welcoming you on the other side.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
