Next Steps for Strategic Community Plan Review

The Shire of Denmark has announced two community workshops will be held in March to give community members a chance to review the feedback which will inform the Strategic Community Plan review.

One community workshop will be held at the Shire of Denmark Administration Building at 5.30pm on Tuesday 28 March and another will be held at the Nornalup Hall at 9.30am on Thursday 30 March, allowing for community members from all over the Shire the option to attend a meeting close to them.

Denmark Deputy Shire President and Strategic Community Plan Working Group Chair Kingsley Gibson said he hoped to see continued community engagement in the review process.

“We’ve already had an incredible level of engagement from our community for this review,” Cr Gibson said.

“More than 1100 community members completed our Community Scorecard in August last year and we’re approaching 350 Mini Questionnaire submissions.”

“That’s a lot of information for our team to distil down into a strategic plan, so we’re hosting these workshops as a way to check in with our community and to say, we’ve heard you – let us make sure we understand what you meant.”

“It’s a really important part of the process and we very much hope to see good attendance at both of these workshops.”

Community members are asked to please RSVP to attend by contacting the Shire on email at enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au or by phone on 9848 0300.
