After receiving approval from the Minister for Lands on Friday 15 December, and following appropriate notification of both the Lions Club and the Kwoorabup Nature School, the Shire President yesterday signed a new lease with the Kwoorabup Nature School that provides an expanded lease area, enabling the school to grow into the future.
The new lease begins on 15 January 2024 and is for a 21-year term.
At the August 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council acknowledged the significant community interest in the lease and made a written statement in response, giving reasons behind the Council’s decision.
