Have your say on health and wellbeing in Denmark

Published on Thursday, 20 February 2020 at 3:05:36 PM

The Shire of Denmark is asking the Denmark community what health and wellbeing issues matter most to them to help inform the Shire’s new Community Health and Wellbeing Plan.

Denmark residents are invited to come along to a series of pop-up information stalls being held throughout March to hear about the Plan and complete a short poll to help identify the most pressing health and wellness priorities for the Denmark community.

Shire staff will work with the dedicated Community Health and Wellbeing Plan working group, comprised of community members, one Councillor and public health representatives to oversee the development of the Plan.

After the poll results are collated and health priorities identified, a more comprehensive survey will be available for the community to complete which focuses on strategies and solutions.

The survey will be advertised in print and online for community feedback.

A youth mental health workshop will also be held allowing young people to share their insight into solutions and strategies for issues affecting them.

The finished Plan will provide the framework for the integrated delivery of public health and ensures community health and wellbeing remains central to planning and decision making into the future.
