Denmark Library Closure

Published on Monday, 23 March 2020 at 4:42:42 PM

The staff at the Denmark Library value our members, visitors and all users of the Library. Following advice from the Western Australian Government, the Library will be closed until further notice.

Our goal during this time is to ensure that our community remains informed, healthy and continue to have access to the resources that they need. The work that we undertake over this period will be designed to support this objective. We also recognise the importance of remaining connected with one another and will be looking at strategies to help our community stay engaged.

Our team will be assisting the broader Community Services department to develop and implement initiatives that support the physical and mental wellbeing of our community during this time.

Existing Library members can already access free online eResources via the Shire’s website https://www.denmark.wa.gov.au/residents/library-services/online-references.aspx.  New members can join the Library by completing the following membership form https://www.denmark.wa.gov.au/Profiles/denmark/Assets/ClientData/Documents/library/Denmark_Library_Membership_Form_2019.pdf and returning it to the Library via email.

Library staff will be accepting returns via the normal after-hours chute and we will have information in the coming days as to how we can continue to offer a Library service to those who rely on hard copy books.

We are here to support you during this time, so please do not hesitate to contact us on 9848 0306 or via email at library@denmark.wa.gov.au.

We also encourage community members to stay up to date via the Shire of Denmark’s website, subscribe to our Facebook page and register for SMS alerts. For current health advice please refer to https://healthywa.wa.gov.au/
