Nominations open today for Denmark’s Community Citizen and Sportsperson of the Year Awards for 2024, giving nominees a chance to win a $200 voucher in recognition of their commitment to the community.
Community members can nominate their friends, family, co-workers or acquaintances who they believe have gone above and beyond their civic duties and made a significant contribution to the community by nominating them in one of the following categories:
• Youth Citizen of the Year (Under 24)
• Senior Citizen of the Year (65 and over)
• Community Citizen of the Year (any age)
• Group Citizen of the Year (NFP Group/Organisation)
There is also the opportunity to recognise the athletes in our community who have achieved outstanding results during the past year and individuals who have made a significant contribution to their sport or sporting club by nominating them for:
• Junior Sportsperson of the Year (under 18)
• Senior Sportsperson of the Year (18 and over)
• Service to Sport Award
The official nomination form is available online via www.denmark.wa.gov.au/citizen-of-the-year or hard copies can be collected from the Denmark Recreation Centre or Shire Administration Building.
Nominations are open from 1 March to 31 March 2024.
