Denmark seniors will next week have the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and engaging activities as part of the annual Senior’s Week celebrations, from 6 - 13 November 2022.
The Shire of Denmark, in collaboration with the Denmark Community Resource Centre (CRC), will host a series of activities including fitness and wellness programs, a gardening workshop and a financial seminar.
The week-long celebration provides opportunities for social interaction, community connections and recognition of senior contributions to the wider community.
The highlight of the program will be our annual Seniors Luncheon for residents over 60 years. The free event will be held at Denmark Riverside club on Thursday 10 November from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
This year, the theme for the luncheon is "the hats we wear" celebrating the diverse roles our seniors play in our community. Guests are encouraged to join in the fun and come wearing their hat or wear someone else's hat for the day.
The Seniors Week program is presented by the Shire of Denmark in partnership with Denmark Community Resource Centre and with support from Council on the Ageing WA.
