Local building contractors and owner-builders are encouraged to make themselves familiar with the newly implemented 2022 National Construction Code.
The latest version of the code, updated every three years, features significant changes to building safety, energy efficiency, accessibility, plumbing, drainage and structural requirements.
Overall, the changes in the new code reflect industry best practice and technological advancements.
The code can be accessed online at https://ncc.abcb.gov.au/editions/ncc-2022.
The WA Government will allow for additional transitional arrangements for builders to implement the mandatory adoption of the new code.
