About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, the Information & Data Services Coordinator is responsible for leading the delivery of information management, records management, ICT services and data governance across the organisation.

This is a strategic leadership role that oversees information governance, cybersecurity, business systems, records management and ICT operations while driving digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across the Shire. The position is integral to ensuring information is secure, accessible and effectively managed to support organisational objectives, compliance obligations and community outcomes.

The successful applicant will be an innovative and collaborative leader with a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills and the ability to balance strategic planning with operational service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of information governance, records management and ICT services across the organisation.
  • Oversee ICT infrastructure, cloud services, business systems, networks, hardware and software.
  • Manage cybersecurity controls, risk mitigation activities and business continuity planning.
  • Lead and develop the Records and ICT teams to ensure high quality service delivery.
  • Govern and administer Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments, including information architecture and workflow automation.
  • Identify and implement technology and data solutions that improve organisational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships, technology contracts and ICT service delivery arrangements.
  • Provide strategic advice on information management, digital transformation, cybersecurity and data governance.
  • Lead or support business system, ERP, cloud and records management projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and information governance requirements.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have –

  • Demonstrated experience in information management, ICT services, records management, data governance or a related discipline.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Experience administering and governing Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience managing business systems, technology vendors and ICT service delivery.
  • A strong commitment to customer service, information security and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to balance operational responsibilities with strategic objectives.

Desirable

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Information Technology, Records Management, Data Management or a related discipline.
  • Local Government experience.
  • Experience leading digital transformation or business system implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy and data governance frameworks.

Hours – Full-Time 76 hours per fortnight.

Salary - $110,000 per annum.
