About the Opportunity
The Shire of Denmark is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Officer – Civil Infrastructure to provide high‑level administrative support to the Civil Infrastructure & Waste Operations team.
Based primarily at the Shire Depot, this role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of civil infrastructure services across the Shire, including road construction and maintenance, drainage, waste services, and parks and reserves. You will provide day‑to‑day administrative support, assist with project and operational activities, and act as a first point of contact for enquiries related to civil infrastructure works.
This is a varied and rewarding full‑time role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment and supporting teams that deliver essential services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager Civil Infrastructure & Waste Operations with the delivery of civil projects and operational improvement initiatives
- Provide high‑level administrative support to the Civil Infrastructure & Waste Operations team
- Respond to routine enquiries, service requests and correspondence in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with records management, purchasing, data entry, reporting, and document control
- Provide administrative support across related areas including Waste Services and Parks & Gardens, as required
- Assist with improving work health and safety compliance across the team
- Comply with all Shire policies, procedures, and safe work practices
About You
- Relevant administrative experience in a similar role
- Previous experience as a contracts Admin role in civil or related heavy industries (desirable)
- Well‑developed organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
- Knowledge of local government functions and operations (desirable)
- Experience using corporate systems such as Synergy and RAMMS (beneficial)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operational environment
- A current Driver’s Licence
- Candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening) and provide a current National Police Clearance.

Hours - Full-time 76 hours per fortnight Salary - $69,890.00 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation, along with additional allowances and benefits
