Position:                           Parks & Gardens Officer

Status:                              Full-time (9 day fortnight), part-time/job share may be considered for this role

Salary:                              $62,625.00 per annum plus up to 15.5% superannuation & additional benefits

Opportunity: 

 

The Shire of Denmark is seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the Parks & Gardens Officer position within the Shire's Assets & Sustainable Development Directorate.

 

We’re looking for someone who;

 

  • Will carry out routine maintenance duties and improvements of the Shire’s parks, gardens, and reserves such as planting, mowing, turf management, weed control and pruning.
  • Brings experience and a passion for horticulture.
  • Can operate equipment safely and has experience in the use of mowers, tractors and minor plant.
  • Can work autonomously with minimum supervision.
  • Will maintain the protection of the natural environment.
  • Delivers customer service with a high level of inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Champions the Shire’s vision, values and mission statement.
