About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Mechanical Workshop Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our fleet and equipment. This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy plant, equipment, and vehicles.

Diagnose and rectify faults relating to diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems.

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities.

Assist in the ongoing improvement of fleet maintenance programs.
-
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
-
Support a strong safety culture and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.

Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.

Contribute positively to team goals and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have -
Essential Requirements
-
Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic (Heavy Duty) or equivalent.
-
Significant relevant industry experience.
-
Experience working on small and heavy plant and equipment.
-
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
-
Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
White Card.
-
Current HR Driver's Licence.
-
Current Police Clearance.
-
Current First Aid Certificate.
-
Physical capability to undertake manual work.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
-
Experience maintaining graders, loaders, trucks, trailers, compactors, tractors, rollers, water carts, pumps, bores, mowing equipment, and vehicles.

Knowledge of auto electrics, hydraulics and welding.
-
HC Driver's Licence.
-
Forklift Licence.
