Hosting an Event at a Private Venue

If you're thinking about hosting an event at a private venue that is not approved to conduct the type of event you want to hold, then an event application will need to be submitted to the Shire. We recommend that you contact us at least 30 days before the event date however alternative arrangements may be made for certain unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances. 

Large events

For planning purposes, large scale events such as corporate and community events, concerts, performances and sporting events that have an expected attendance of over 500 people, require a longer lead time as significant consultation will need to be carried out before being approved.

So there is enough time to obtain all necessary approvals we recommend you contact us at least 80 days before the event date however alternative arrangements may be made for certain unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.

The event application process can seem confusing for first time event organisers, it is recommended that event organisers first call the Shire of Denmark to find out if approval is required for you to hold the event.
