MECHANICAL WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Workshop Supervisor to lead our busy workshop and support the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant fleet operations. This role offers the chance to combine hands-on mechanical expertise with leadership and continuous improvement in a supportive local government environment.
We’re looking for someone who;
- Will Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the workshop.
- Has strong communication skills.
- Will maintain a positive, proactive and outcome focused approach to work and leadership.
- Will plan, schedule, and prioritise maintenance, servicing, and repairs for council vehicles, plant, and equipment.
- Will ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements, and council operational standards and policies.
- Will provide technical guidance and diagnose complex mechanical faults across diesel, petrol, and hydraulic systems.
- Will maintain accurate service records, inspections, and asset management documentation.
- Is responsible for procurement of parts, materials and external services within budget.
- Will promote a positive safety culture and drive ongoing process improvements.

Hours: Full-time 76 hours, over a nine-day fortnight.
Salary: $92,456 per annum, plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.
