Local Planning Policies

Local Planning Policies are guidelines used to assist the Shire of Denmark in making decisions under Town Planning Scheme No. 3 (TPS 3) and may address land-use as well as development requirements.

Local Planning Policies do not form part of the Scheme and do not bind the Local Government in respect of any application for development approval but the Local Government is to have due regard to the provisions of the policy and the objectives which the policy is designed to achieve before making its determination.

The Local Planning Policies that have been adopted by the Shire of Denmark in accordance with Clause 8.2 of TPS3 or Schedule 2, part 2, clause 4 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 are as follows:
