Local Planning Strategy

The Shire of Denmark's Local Planning Strategy (2011) (herein after referred to as the LPS), provides the vision to guide the future growth of the Shire. The LPS is currently under review to reflect the significant changes that have occurred since 2011, including changes to State and regional planning policies and the finalisation of Council’s Community Strategic Plan (Denmark 20227). The LPS provides the rationale for the land use and development controls that will form the basis of a new Town Planning Scheme for the Shire of Denmark.

The current LPS was adopted by Council at the Special Meeting of Council held on 4 October 2011 and endorsed by the Western Australian Planning Commission on 22 May 2012.”
