Nine Candidates Stand for Six Seats on Council

With the closure of nominations for prospective candidates in the up-coming Local Government election this October, nine candidates are now in the race for six vacant seats on the Shire of Denmark Council.

The seats set to be contested at the election are as follows:

Scotsdale/Shadforth Ward - 2 Councillors (4 year terms)

Scotsdale/Shadforth Ward - 1 Councillor (2 year term)

Town Ward - 1 Councillor (4 year term)

Town Ward - 1 Councillor (2 year term)

Kent/Nornalup Ward - 1 Councillor (4 year term) - position filled (Jackie Ormsby elected unopposed)
