The Shire of Denmark continues to support youth focussed initiatives with applications for the annual Leadership Award opening next week on Monday 2 August.

The award, which is worth $1000, is open to year 12 students currently attending Denmark Senior High School and recognises young people for their community involvement, citizenship and leadership skills.

Funds are awarded to assist with the cost of a program or activity of the recipient’s choice, focusing on leadership, problem solving, self-growth, skills development, confidence boosting, personal motivation and team work.

Shire of Denmark Chief Executive Officer David Schober said the award recognises the contributions members of our youth make to the Denmark community.

“This award recognises young leaders and supports them to continue to build their skills to inspire others,” Mr Schober said.

The award guidelines and application form are available via the Shire of Denmark website.

Submissions are due by 4pm Friday 27 August 2021 and may be submitted online or via email or post.
