BAMHA Housing Forum Around the Corner

A community forum organised by Bricks and Mortar Housing Alliance (BAMHA) is just days away with the event set to be held at Shire of Denmark next week.

The forum, set to be held at 6pm on Monday 10 May, will feature a facilitated discussion to help BAMHA identify local solutions to the housing shortage in Denmark.

Members of the community are invited to come along to learn more about BAMHA and to contribute to the discussion on local housing availability and crisis accommodation.

Those wishing to attend are welcome to pre-submit questions to be answered by Shire and BAMHA representatives on the evening.

Shire of Denmark Chief Executive Officer David Schober encouraged attendees to submit their questions in advance.
“This is a complex issue and we look forward to partnering with BAMHA at this forum to share information and to work together with community to identify some solutions,” Mr Schober said.
“If we receive questions in advance, we’ll be able to prepare detailed responses and to carry out further research if necessary.”

While questions on the night are welcomed, prior submission will allow panel members time to research solutions.

BAMHA representative Petra Thompson said the group looked forward to the Shire playing a supporting role with the community on this issue which is impacting so many in the Denmark community.

RSVPs for the event are essential.

Please register your interest to attend via email to enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au citing ‘BAMHA Forum’ and the number of attendees for reference.

Any queries should be directed to Petra Thompson at the Denmark Community Resource Centre.
