Applications for No Spray Register Now Open

The Shire of Denmark undertakes annual weed control programs which include herbicide application to maintain rural and urban roadside infrastructure, as well as to maintain emergency access ways and to target noxious weeds in Shire verges and reserves.

The spraying will be conducted by qualified persons, strictly in accordance with manufacturer requirements and Shire scope of works.

In accordance with Shire policy P120104, property owners can request verge areas adjoining their properties not be sprayed.

To be placed on the Shire’s No Spray Register, property owners must submit a No Spray Register Application form available in hardcopy format from the Shire Administration Building or online via the Shire’s website at http://www.denmark.wa.gov.au/documents/infrastructure-services-documents-and-forms/forms

Applications must be submitted to the Shire by 4pm on Tuesday 31 August 2021.

If approved, registration will be valid for two years. Applicants whose term on the register is due to expire in 2021 will be sent application forms which are required to be completed and returned for renewal.

If your term is due to expire this year and you have not received a form for renewal by end of July 2021, please contact Assets and Sustainable Development on (08) 9848 0356 as soon as possible.

Those who do not renew their application prior to the August deadline will not be included on the No Spray register this year.
