The Shire of Denmark is calling on locals and visitors to support the Creative Community Summer @ the Artshouse program created by Denmark Arts as they try to put the difficulties of 2020 behind them in 2021.

With support from a state government funded Creative Communities Covid19 recovery grant to the value of $30,000 secured by the Shire of Denmark on behalf of Denmark Arts, the program is set to get underway on Monday 4 January 2020 and will stretch across the month of January with a variety of free and paid arts programs for children, youth and adults. The Shire of Denmark is proud to support this interactive arts initiative and was delighted to be awarded the Creative Communities Covid19 recovery grant to help the local arts community get back on its feet.

The Creative Community Summer @ the Artshouse program is being offered for the first time and boasts an exciting line-up of local and visiting artists. Across the summer of creative events, Denmark locals and visitors will be treated to music, art, writing, juggling, kids crafts and more.

“This month-long program of arts activities has something for everyone so we hope our community will head along and support this series of events,” Shire of Denmark Acting Chief Executive Officer David Schober said.

“We (the Shire) were happy to be able to help Denmark Arts secure this recovery funding in the wake of all the setbacks the arts community has suffered in 2020.

“We are so proud of the vibrancy of our arts community here in Denmark, so we hope this Creative Community Summer @ the Artshouse program sets us up for a brilliant year of Denmark creativity in 2021.”
