Tourism in Denmark - Then, now and the road ahead

Past Event

The Shire of Denmark invites the public to a community conversation on tourism in August, to discuss the Shire’s role in tourism and the future of the Visitor Centre building.

The forum will include a presentation on the background of visitor servicing in Denmark, the Shire’s role in tourism, the decision-making around the Amazing South Coast Tourism Inc's closure of the Visitor Centre, the future of the Visitor Centre building, and potential Shire funding for the DCC and the marketing arm of ASCTI to promote visitation to the region.

A Q and A panel consisting of Shire Acting CEO David Schober and representatives from ASCTI and DCC will follow the presentation.

The community can read the background on recent visitor servicing in Denmark and read more about the forum by visiting the dedicated engagement page at www.yourdenmark.wa.gov.au.

The forum will be held on Wednesday 12th August, 5.30pm at the Shire of Denmark Council Chambers.

RSVPs and questions to the panel should be submitted by 4pm Monday 10th August by emailing enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au or by calling 9848 0339.

For those unable to attend the forum, the presentation and responses to questions will be posted on the Your Denmark engagement page after the event.
