In recognition of the 2016 International Day of People with Disability the Council’s Disability Services Advisory Committee embarked on a project to record some of the life stories of people in our community living with disability. The book’s focus was on ability rather than disability.
Committee member, Dale Fewings, came up with the idea to pen the stories of a number of inspirational local people living with disability which focussed on their courage, remarkable reserves of strength and the ways in which they have risen above their own limitations.
The book has been published and is available in the Denmark Library, at the Shire Office and on by clicking on the link below.
