The Shire of Denmark has a great working relationship with the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), with this relationship extending to wildfire suppression and prescribed burning activities within the Shire.

DBCA currently have two firefighting appliances stationed at William Bay and further resources at their main operating base in Walpole.  

Parks and Wildlife conduct prescribed burns in their Reserves from the Spring through to Autumn.
