Beach Wheelchairs

Beach Wheelchairs (or Beach Trekkers) are designed to transport a person with disability easily across all terrains from soft loose beach sand to hard surfaces and into the water.

The Beach Trekkers enable the occupant to go into the water where they can transfer out (with any required assistance) and enjoy the aquatic experience or just have the water wash over them.

The purpose of beach wheelchairs is to improve the quality and enjoyment of life for people with disability.

Council has two (2) Beach Wheelchairs that are available to hire, free of charge - one at Parry Beach and one at Ocean Beach.
